Cellar Monitoring

The LoraWine ecosystem extends intelligent monitoring beyond the vineyard, monitoring the environments and equipment for winemaking and wine aging.

In the cellar, an agile and non-invasive system constantly collects information remotely. Every corner and tank of the cellar can be kept under control through small, dynamic and waterproof sensors that integrate perfectly with existing infrastructure.

Thanks to our dedicated IoT network, the sensors easily overcome obstacles such as thick walls and metal elements, guaranteeing uniform coverage even in complex environments. The collected data is centralized on the same platform as the information from the vineyard, offering a unified and organized management of the entire production.

LoraWine's cellar monitoring allows timely detection of thermal or hygrometric anomalies that could compromise fermentation or aging processes, ensuring that every drop of wine reaches its maximum qualitative potential.

Room Temperature and Humidity

Maintaining stable conditions in winemaking and aging rooms is essential for oenological quality. LoraWine sensors constantly monitor the temperature and relative humidity of the air in the cellar, parameters that influence wine evaporation in barrels and the development of any unwanted microorganisms.

Small and waterproof IoT devices guarantee precise readings discretized over time. Robust and dynamic, the sensors can be easily relocated throughout the cellar to investigate different spaces and barrels.

In this way, the winemaker can remotely control the optimal storage conditions of their wines and receive automatic alerts when set thresholds are exceeded, reducing risks related to temperature fluctuations or excessively dry environments.

Tank Temperature

Temperature control during the fermentation phase is one of the critical aspects for achieving desired objectives and for the effectiveness of operations performed.

LoraWine sensors are small and autonomous, specifically designed for food supply chain product control. These devices allow remote monitoring of fermentation kinetics, ensuring that temperatures remain within optimal ranges with the possibility of receiving immediate notifications if a tank undergoes an anomalous variation.

Remote Actuation

LoraWine's IoT architecture is not limited to monitoring alone, but also enables active process management. The system includes the installation of electronic devices that allow remote activation of motors, pumps or conditioning systems.

LoraWine's solutions integrate with existing electrical infrastructure without modifying it. While allowing automatic activation commands when certain thresholds are exceeded, they still permit manual use of systems when needed.

This functionality transforms the cellar into a reactive and smart environment. Thermoregulation systems can regulate their operations based directly on real-time data, guaranteeing superior efficiency and drastically reducing the need for manual interventions.

Barrel Management

Traceability in aging rooms is a fundamental characteristic to guarantee high quality levels and document the life of an aged wine. LoraWine allows archiving the technical parameters of the wood, tracking cleaning cycles and which wines have been hosted over time.

Thanks to the archiving of barrel characteristics and the organoleptic influence they give to wines, with LoraWine you can consciously decide what influence the wine should receive from the aging material.

The combination of wine substances and wood substances is not always straightforward; having a history of passages is fundamental for creating harmonious and lasting symbioses.
