Vineyard Monitoring
Innovative and flexible technology

LoraWine offers complete vineyard monitoring management, placing the winemaker in the best conditions to make informed choices, eliminating every concern related to sensor management, data and digital infrastructure.
For precise and attentive viticulture, accurate and constant monitoring is essential. LoraWine, by installing IoT sensors directly in the plots of interest, immediately captures the subtle variations induced by climate unpredictability, hillside exposure, altitude and territory morphology.
LoraWine's approach enables monitoring of multiple agronomic parameters, identifying the differences that emerge between different plots and the micro-climatic differences that lead to differentiated choices and specific solutions.
The aim is to promote careful variable management of plots, providing specific details regarding planned and completed activities. Valuable agronomic information can determine the best moments to intervene and the effectiveness of activities already performed.
Direct monitoring surpasses the limits of traditional weather stations, virtual stations and models extracted from mathematical analyses. Only physical sensors guarantee a continuous flow of representative data from the site of interest even when adverse weather conditions or low spatial resolution zones are present.
With LoraWine, small and robust sensors that don't hinder work are capillary distributed throughout vineyards, guaranteeing a detailed and faithful overview of field reality.
Every slope will clarify its needs and tell its story.
Agrometeorological Parameters
LoraWine IoT devices are small agronomic laboratories capable of measuring all the fundamental atmospheric parameters for vine management. The factors that influence the entire agricultural ecosystem are carefully collected and displayed via smartphone, PC and computer in a dynamic and customizable dashboard.
LoraWine provides data consultation through the use of periodic reports and charts and tables. Reports are ideal for effectively understanding past agro-meteorological phenomena and promptly defining the context in which to operate. Meanwhile, charts and tables are valuable for analyzing and comparing events.
LoraWine does not require exclusive use of the IoT devices provided with the service. All IoT data collection devices on the market can be integrated within the digital ecosystem.
Canopy Microclimate
The leaf apparatus is the energy engine of the vine. Monitoring the conditions in which it operates is crucial for achieving established objectives. LoraWine uses specific sensors installed directly on the leaf wall to measure the temperature and humidity of the leaf surface.
IoT devices can be installed in different zones of the leaf wall, allowing the collection of detailed information on the different sections of the canopy.
Understanding the conditions in which leaves operate in various canopy zones is fundamental for managing vigor, planning interventions on the leaf apparatus and evaluating their effectiveness.
The leaf wetness sensor simulates the surface of a real leaf, detecting the presence and duration of water films. It is a device of fundamental importance for understanding the dynamics with which the canopy gets wet and dries, allowing the definition of timing and methods of intervention.
Leaf temperature differs from air temperature and is a necessary parameter for understanding the dynamics of secondary metabolite accumulation in the plant, preventing photosynthetic arrests and thermal stress on leaves and clusters.
Soil Moisture and Temperature
The soil is the vital reserve of the plant, and its parameters directly influence root activity and fertility. LoraWine monitors soil moisture through electrical conductivity sensors, providing clear indications of the water status and soil temperature. This information is fundamental for correctly managing the plant and avoiding stress conditions that would compromise growth.
Soil temperature plays a central role. Through a direct influence on plant physiology and microbiome activity. Temperature induces changes in soil biodiversity, conditioning the phenomena of organic matter decomposition, soil fertility and nutrient absorption.
Careful monitoring of the main parameters that influence the soil is fundamental for effective soil management and the nutritional balance of the vine.
Automatic Reports
To facilitate consultation and information sharing, LoraWine automatically generates periodic technical reports in PDF format. These documents offer a quick summary of past climatic conditions, summarizing with averages, indices, thresholds and customizable peaks for each parameter collected by the devices.
Winemakers can configure the generation of these reports based on their specific needs, receiving detailed summaries only on events relevant to activity management.
These documents are not only useful for daily management, but represent a valuable archive that facilitates internal communication, ensuring that no important data is lost or forgotten.
