An event dedicated to innovative technologies for viticultural business management
Location: Ampelion in Alba - Specialized course in Viticulture and Enology of the University of Turin

At the prestigious Ampelion headquarters in Alba, which hosts the specialized course in Viticulture and Enology of the University of Turin, an important event will be held addressing innovative technologies capable of investigating and quantifying fundamental data and information to face current business management challenges dictated by climate unpredictability and market instability.

Institutional Greetings
The meeting will open with institutional greetings from Prof. Rolle, president of the International Master's Degree in Viticultural and Enological Sciences at the University of Turin.
Territorial Innovation and Agrifood Hub
Following this, an intervention dedicated to applied territorial innovation and the activities of the Agrifood Hub by Dario Vallauri, head of the AGRIFOOD Hub and vice-director of MIAC.
LoraWine Project
At the center of the program, Dr. Rogna Manassero from Costigliole will illustrate the results, evolution, and future developments of the innovative research project LoraWine, funded by NODES, in collaboration with the Polytechnic of Turin and the University of Turin.
Expert Panel: "Data in the World of Wine"
Then space for an expert panel titled "Data in the World of Wine", which will feature some of the most representative realities of the territory: Poderi e Cantine Oddero, Luciano Sandrone, Cantina La Maranzana, Citiculture, with academic contributions from Prof. Guidoni and Prof. Demarchi.
Speaker Presentations
- Luca Veglio, Oenologist at Poderi e Cantine Oddero, will discuss the importance of understanding the differences between various hillside meso-environments and canopy micro-climates.
- Alessia Dall'U Sandrone, Oenologist at Luciano Sandrone, will illustrate the advantages provided by secure and organized archiving of production data.
- Silvia Guidoni, Associate Professor at the Department of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences of the University of Turin, will explore the importance of meteorological data for proper vineyard management.
- Daniela Pesce, Director of Cantina La Maranzana, will describe the various ways in which data can be used to communicate wine.
- Luca Balbiano, Founder of Start-Up Citiculture, will illustrate the Campus Grapes project and how innovative discoveries for the sector can emerge from it.
- Danilo Demarchi, Full Professor at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications of the Polytechnic of Turin, will explore the theme of technological innovation by presenting virtuous examples that have found application in the wine and agricultural sector.
Conclusions
The conclusions, focused on the importance of data in viticulture and enology, will close the proceedings before a final refreshment.
